Terracotta Soldiers

Excavation of the site has been ongoing for 38 years and only 2,000 soldiers have been uncovered but through ground radar, they know that about 8,000 exist.  The bodies of the soldiers are similar and likely were made from wooden molds but every single face is different.  Horses and chariots have been uncovered as well.  Parts of 40,000 weapons have been recovered from the site.  Each soldier was holding a weapon made of a wooden pole with a various metal tips or a bow. The wood has disintegrated leaving only the metal portions.  This is why you see them appearing to be holding something with their hands.
